At the moment Viofo, Vueroid and Vantrue
I also received a new Nexus 4 Pro S for testing.
Thanks to Wendy and the Vantrue team for providing the model.

Vantrue has released a sequel to the N4 Pro - the Vantrue N4 Pro S with new sensors in the interior
and rear cameras and a waterproof rear camera.

The mount with GPS module is the same for the N5S, N4 Pro S and N4S models. 👍

With PlatePix enabled on the N4 Pro S, the video becomes much darker than with PlatePix enabled on other models.
Although, in my opinion, the legibility of oncoming car license plates during the day is slightly better with PlatePix enabled than with it disabled.

Unfortunately, I can't promise a quick video from the rear camera. It's been raining for 2 weeks now.
And I'm very busy for the next 2 weeks and I won't have time to experiment...
I managed to shoot the video above in between the rains, and that's because I had an N4S installed on the windshield
and I only had to change it to an N4 Pro S.
Judging by the video on the forum, the N4 Pro S rear camera and its video quality are much better than the N4 Pro.
I remember I was very disappointed with the quality of the N4 Pro rear camera video.

There are idiots everywhere, especially now.
Some time ago the wall there was clean.
......
Completely agree, I just couldn't resist to smile and reply after I translated it with Google translator.

This is the best place to check the lens for out of focus. 😉
Interestingly, when I look at DCT videos and screenshots from reviewers, I always try to find a brick or tile structure or something similar with small details to better assess the overall image quality.
The Vantrue's daytime screenshots and videos look really good, but the Viofo 329F still looks better/sharper to me.

Is it necessary to turn on PlatePix during the day?

I haven't tried turning on PlatePix during the day yet on the new firmware.

maybe n4pros front =n4pro?

oh i mean what different about n4 pro s front camera between n4pro front camera

The N4 Pro uses a barrel shaped rear camera. A much better design than the Extending Camera found on the N4 Pro S. I raised this concern to Vantrue, because the extending mount is subject to vibrations. A barrel shape is far sturdier.

Here are the technical differences:

the front camera of n4pro use sony imx678 also same as n4pro s

@indigo

The front cameras use different sensors. N4 Pro S uses IMX 678. N4Pro uses IMX 675. Even rear camera uses a different sensor on the N4 Pro S and N4 Pro. Please see screenshot above.
