Vintage 1956 "dash cam" footage of Hollywood, Los Angeles, California

I watched a doku on Buster Keaton last night, MGM pretty much ruined the guy it seem / business partner dragged him into MGM and Buster being a all too nice and gullible guy.
No one seemed to mention that back in the silent movies days Denmark was pretty big,,,,, only to fade out for a long while, and then return with the porn wave in the 60 / 70ties, only to fade again,,, cuz that seem to be what we Danes do.

I am sure to not offend anyone we will be driving in the middle of the road soon.

I have no idea what Buster Keaton or the Danish film industry has to do with vintage "dash cam" footage of cars from the 40s and 50s but if we all start to drive in the middle of the road we will need all one way roads and streets! :geek:

Kamkar, why is it that you so often derail threads with this kind of totally off topic stuff? This is a sub forum called, "Interesting Dash Cam Videos (not recorded by you)"

I have deleted my posts.
I have always admitted i am good at going OT, but trust me it could be much worse, i am actually still working on this.
It is not uncommon for me having been hammering at the keyboard, only to delete 2/3 of my writing before i post, maybe i should focus more on this.

If ? it some times could be a involuntary response in threads where members are at each others throats, i can not say

Thanks man. I really appreciate your response. Many of us, including me, go off topic from time to time but this one was beginning to feel more off the rails than usual.

Here's some more interesting vintage "dash cam" footage. These are rear facing views and side facing views of cars and trucks driving in traffic and of the city of Beverly Hills, California in 1935.

Personally, I find it fascinating to see the results of what is being done these days with AI digital restoration techniques on film footage that is as much as 100 years old, or more. Perhaps the most striking state of the art examples of this technique have been seen in Peter Jackson's documentary, "They Shall Not Grow Old" using 100 year old footage from Word War I and his more recent Beatles Documentary, "Get Back" using restored 52 year old 16mm footage from 1969.

Similar, but less sophisticated AI techniques are used in the following footage to great effect. It's amazing to see these pristine new looking vintage cars driving in traffic in such detail and the amazing views of what the city of LA looked like 87 years ago.

This is restored, stabilized, colorized, 60 fps, 4K footage.
