Turn on HDR at night and turn it off during the day, and you won't have blurry images of vehicles moving in the opposite lane.

You've explained my concerns. I'm going to test both firmware versions. Should I turn HDR off during the day and on at night? Should I turn WDR on or off in version 1.03? As I wrote earlier, most of my work is during the day.y concerns. I'm going to test both firmware versions. Should I enable or disable WDR in version 1.03?

Indeed, V is blurry. OK, I turn off HDR during the day. What settings do you suggest for firmware 1.03 and what for its latest version?
 
There are 2 1.03 versions and I have the latest. Here is a link to my V3 files folder:

Don't forget to rename the file you want to upper case "FWA119V3.bin" before putting onto the SDCard - exactly as shown without the "

I'm running the 20190924 without any issues

A quick answer to your question is to change back to FW 1.03.
 
I found exactly the same years ago, HDR ruined clarity as it brought some blurring with it noticed most in static shots taken from the movie
 
I record 24 hours a day. When I look at it in the morning, the image is dark. If I turn it off and on like this, the image returns to normal. (Wdr firmware 1.01 1.02 1.03 same)wdr problem,HDR Blurry, WDR cannot do auto exposure.Viofo software is not good.

viofo support team, aren't you reading all this? Make a nice and final software.Can you use these in your own car? ( No ).You see the problems in vdr and hdr.Solve the problems for those who will use wdr and hdr firmware.

Odd, my auto exposure is fine

Entering and exiting tunnels or 'tree tunnels' brightens and darkens the image as expected

1.03 dated 24/Sep/2019
 
My car is stationary and the sun is rising. I look at it like this 3-4 hours after sunrise. If I turn the camera off and on, it fixes it. My guess is that the sun is slowly rising, so the exposure can't adjust it.

I have a power bank and the camera records 24 hours a day.

Issue fixed by resetting to default setting after upgrade to new version. now it's significantly better.
 
wdr is better.only the sound quality is bad. I did not like the hdr firmware at all ( dark and bloury ). wdr It would be great if wdr was improved.
