Raw Viofo A119V3 sample 1min long.
Bitrate hits 41000 but averages 26000
FANTASTIC !!
Huge congratz and Kudos to @viofo for increasing the new A119 V3 1440p stock Firmware Bitrate to 28.8 Mb/s !!
This should silence all those higher bitrate critics, Firmware V1.00 build 20190520 is a massive improvement over all previous default settings from all other dashcam models and its only version #1 . . .
The RAW footage has more detail than YouTube video, can't wait to try 32 Mb/s at 1440p.
thanks for sharing this RAW footage.

very interesting, two UK V3 owners with two different bitrates.
In the Menu Settings is there a BITRATE option ?

[QUOTE="Tractor, post: 469125, member: I can not wait to find the 4K mode that is hidden and not in the menu.
[/QUOTE]
4K is available in H265 mode. Long pressing on Mic. button maybe H265 will be available.
It is easy to observe the switching because total time available on card will increase in H265 mode.

But 4K is useless for V3, I hope it will be removed.

enjoy,
Mtz

The new A119 V3 1440p F1.6 Lens 140FOV Car Camera currently offers the most advanced Image Quality Firmware compared to all other models, especially the massively improved variable Bitrate which increases to over 40 Mb/s on complex scenes. Viofo included a hidden 4K interpolated resolution for early testing of the H.265 HEVC - High Efficiency Video Coding. This stretched 4K resolution tests H.265 HEVC codec compression as a prelude for the "Pro" model. Think of it as a sneak peak at things to come very soon while confirming H.265 works flawlessly.

The A119 V3 > 3840x2160p H.265 HEVC testing resolution is a tease, suggest not using 2160p and select native 2560x1440p using H.265 codec compression for maximum brightness, clarity and detail with optimized Bitrate for reduced MP4 file sizes. My early tests reveal soft sharpness but much smaller file sizes, test footage almost ready. Will compare 1440p H.264 vs H.265 , initial clips favor H.264 compression with larger files.

Peak bitrate on video 43965, average 28757.
There is pixelation, you can try to tilt the camera head a little, reduce the sky capture and improve the working off closer to the road.

This was a temporary set up, the V3 was fitted on a V2 mount. The v2 mount does not hold the V3 very securely. I have since removed the V2 mount and replaced it with a V3 GPS unit which much more secure. The V3 is in the correct location now. The pixelization on the road is minimum and but the road is not that important is the another vehicles which this dashcam captures with more detail.
II have known where the Hidden mode is for quite a while even before receiving the physical camera. I made the decision not to show the access to the mode because the 1440p is what the V3 is best at. It no reason why other people should not be aware of it's existence.

You did not understand me, tilting the head to the road will give the correct operation of the expanometer.
Cars are on the road, everything is interconnected, but the sky just we do not need.

I was well aware the V3 was lens was a notch or two too high. As stated it was a temporary quick fit to find out what the difference the V3 would make and not permeant setup.
The artist Constable though a lot of the sky. Is seeing the bonnet of the car and almost the instrument panel any better? No
It the individuals choice. You can advise but it is still the individuals choice.

Beautiful and correct, incompatible.
This is how metering works on the example of SG
I suggested, and you decide what is more important!

Looking to pick up a new dash cam..whats the general consensus? V3 > all the other variations? (V2, pro)
