VIOFO a119s FIRMWARE

It's a bright clear sunny day today and I thought this would be a good time to clean and upgrade everything.
I have also noticed this forum is pleased with the stability of Firmware 4.0.
I've had my A119S 1 yr & 8 mo and presently used Ver 2.6 with no issues or problems.
However, due to the good feedback recommendations on V 4.0 I decided to upgraded today.
For the new menu items I chose MP4 Video Format, New Sharpness normal and Bitrate normal.
Upgrade went smooth as silk so I'm a happy camper with my A119S.
UPDATE:
Installed for a week, works great, here is my 34 Menu Settings:

No, V4.0 is.

I have tried installing this to my sd card and it dose not work it wont install on my dash cam 119s

All sorted just picked up my computer was converting the bin file to Adobe when i copied it to the sd card (Yes I'm slow) but have fixed the problem.

I had the same issues using a 64Gb card, changed to a 16Gb card and it has updated first time to V4.01

I’m assuming mp4 files due to using gps? I havent installed gps mount yet since removing it from RV. Difficult to hide cable in car.

Glad to hear you are good to go now.
I've had mine A119S for 3 years and 4 months and it works perfectly.
I installed it in my new Hyundai 2020 Elantra Luxury sedan in mid August.
Happy New Year in 2021.

I‘m very happy with my Viofo, maybe 5 years old now, v4 was the 1st firmware I installed since buying it!

Was blinking for over 15 minutes on PC usb. Took other card and power from charger, success now...

I’m using Firmware A119S_180730_V2.61 installed Aug. 3, 2018
It has 31 Menu Settings and I have 9 Settings Off and 1 Not Used.
My A119S V2 has performed very well for over 16 months with no issues.
I’m not keen to change firmware just for change sake.
In fact all I do is keep the sd card formatted and the optical path clean.
I’m curious to see what the Menu Settings are in the new Firmware.
Would someone be kind to post the new Menu Settings for V4.0?

From sept 2017 here, every day in and out the truck, connect/disconnect, vibrations, use it on motorcycle. I have F1.2 lens installed for night recording. This thing seems bullit proof.... All my others have failed at way earlier points in their lives. Mobius One, Mobius Maxi, Mini, Gitup F1 and others.

The A119S is a surviver!

I noticed the image quality after this update is poor and washed out. Anyone else have that? Can you recommend going back a version or maybe 2?

I’m happy with mine after new firmware instal, formating every two weeks as suggested and the clips I’ve watched look as good as b4. ( watching on computer monitor )
