You can't import them currently.
Maybe they implement it in the future. Who knows.

I wouldn't say useless.
It's great for checking the settings once the SD is out of the car.
I created a GUI that will show all the settings nicely.

Following up on my previous post, I'm excited to share the Viofo Config Viewer tool with you all! Thanks for the interest you showed.

The goal was simple: with Viofo allowing us to export settings, why not build a nice GUI to check those settings quickly and easily on a PC?

What is it?

This is a single, offline HTML file that provides a clean, graphical user interface (GUI) for the viofo_config.ini file that the new V2.0 firmware can export.
It solves the common problem of "I wonder what settings I was using for that drive?" by giving you a clean, easy-to-read overview...

t's great for checking the settings once the SD is out of the car.

Open the menu and check it out; it's no different from an ini file!
And not all users can open it and understand what's going on!
But it's an acquired taste.
It's a different story when you can import your settings to another user!
You won't improve the quality of your footage with any settings.
My example is on YouTube, where I change the firmware structure itself!
My example above is on YouTube. If you drive it with the stock firmware, everything will be overexposed!...

Actually it is supported already, but not enabled in production version.
We are afraid most of users don't know how to use it and may input wrong parameters.

Why not have a UI that only allows for specific inputs that fit the camera model and configuration? Or am I missing a point?
If imported, the camera does a quick check if everything is within specs and loads it.

After installing the update, reset the settings and test the recordings especially parking mode, as I didn't reset, only re-entered my preferences and found out a week later that it's not working as expected
