How about voicing your opinion?
How about voicing your opinion?
I always say that users should have a choice.Make whatever choices works for you related to your lifestyle. Because we all live differently and have different wants and needs.
Restoring/Closing the last file on the memory card.
Since the S1-4K has neither a battery nor a supercapacitor, the last file is always incomplete when it's turned off.
The next time you turn on the S1-4K, this file will be completed, but the last file after shutdown will still be incomplete.
What if you need the last file?
1. Insert the memory card back into the S1-4K and turn it on. (The file will be completed in the S1-4K.)
2. Bring the memory card home and open it in Vueroid_PCViewer on a laptop or PC. Vueroid_PCViewer will automatically complete the last file.
Today I conducted an experiment:
I removed the memory card from the S1, brought it home, and inserted it into my laptop. The last, incomplete file was 20251017_154826_INF_F_N.tmp.
I launched Vueroid_PCViewer on my laptop and asked it to open a video from the memory card. Vueroid_PCViewer reported:
"Do not press anything, file is being closed." After a few seconds, Vueroid_PCViewer displayed all the files on the memory card in mp4 format.
If I then looked at the memory card, all the files there were completed in mp4 format.
Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of the memory card with the .tmp file.

Forgot to clarify:
Restoring/Closing the last file is only possible on the memory card.
If this file is copied from the memory card to any folder on the laptop/PC, it won't close.
In any case, I was unable to complete the file in Vueroid_PCViewer, which was copied from the memory card to a separate folder.
=> we will make it is possible. In any case, I was unable to complete the file in Vueroid_PCViewer, which was copied from the memory card to a separate folder.
The S1 4K generates files every minute, and a 30-second file is created upon impact. A shock file is generated in the event of a major accident. Separate recovery is only required if the power is immediately removed.1.) What if owner / driver removes SD Card after an accident before car is towed away / impounded by police?
The owner / driver will not have readily available access to S1-4K.
2.) What if owner / driver is unconscious / expired after an accident, and first responder / police remove SD Card from S1-4K.
How will first responder / police know to download specialized / proprietary software.
Police / courts / government agency will most likely be unable / unwilling to download specialized / proprietary software to their government issued PC.
Dashcam video evidence must have zero compatibility issues.
Playing / viewing dashcam video evidence must be as simple as inserting VHS tape in VCR, or DVD in DVD player.
This is a compatibility issue.
The HDR is very effective with the sun in view of the dashcam
Do you prefer Normal or HDR+IPC during the day?
Honestly, I haven't decided yet.Do you prefer Normal or HDR+IPC during the day?
Yes.. you 're right . we recommend HDR + IPC...Do you prefer Normal or HDR+IPC during the day?
I am trying both side by side, but have not reviewed the videos yet.
I think I prefer the look of HDR+IPC. I'm not sure if it is the best for capturing evidence. That might depend on the situation - particularly the lighting conditions.
Hi Chuck~Ask the manufacturer your questions.
I only outlined how to make the latest file playable.
Sorry for the late reply, I didn’t see this until just now.Hi Chuck~
How's it going?
If no supercapacitor is more reliable, why is Vueroid warranty less than Viofo, and BlackVue?We chose not to use a supercapacitor so that the camera can operate more reliably in a wider range of environments.
I’m not smart enough to have answers, I’m only dumb enough to have questions.By the way, do you really think a battery is the ultimate solution for this?
Viofo Warranty terms only began on January 1, 2025. Before that, they were the same as Vueroid.Viofo Standard Warranty 18 Months
Viofo Warranty with registration 24 Months
Perhaps in 10 years, Vueroid will offer the same warranty...😉Vueroid Standard Warranty 12 Months

Yes, but Korean consumer electronics are known for quality.Viofo Warranty terms only began on January 1, 2025. Before that, they were the same as Vueroid.

I can say that law enforcement will have ways to recover footage off microSD cards or electronic devices. You have asked this before, and it's been answered multiple times.Sorry for the late reply, I didn’t see this until just now.

My two questions are the worst case scenario.
1.) What if owner / driver removes SD Card after an accident before car is towed away / impounded by police?
The owner / driver will not have readily available access to S1-4K.
2.) What if owner / driver is unconscious / expired after an accident, and first responder / police remove SD Card from S1-4K.

The whole reason to buy a dash cam is to prepare for worst case scenario.

You have to make it easy as possible so the stupidest person in the world can use it.
In America we call it “idiot proof” because we have a lot of idiots, (me included). Lol
I told you this that day in my garage.
So far you have overcome all compatibility issues, but this is the last one.
That's because of the prices they charge, not the quality.Yes, but Korean consumer electronics are known for quality.
Chinese consumer electronics not so much.
Samsung, and LG TV's cost almost twice as much as Hisense, and TCL.

Hey~ Chuck~That's because of the prices they charge, not the quality.
Apologies to @Karagandinez for going off topic.Hey~ Chuck~
I would like to respond to this point somewhat similarly to Augustus.
The setting of the warranty period cannot be defined solely by product quality; financial considerations play a very significant role.
Of course, products with excellent quality will naturally have lower costs associated with warranty, but as the warranty period extends, the expected costs that the manufacturer has to bear increase significantly—covering logistics, CS handling, spare part inventory, various provisional costs, and so on.
While it is true that better results and higher revenue would allow more to be offered to customers(I will seriously consider the longest warranty in the market at that time..😉, I believe that the current warranty level set for VUEROID, which is newly entering the market, is reasonable.
Additionally, a wider range of environments—“reliability” is not just about quality, but is closely tied to the device’s operating conditions, particularly temperature.
No, no. Let's do it here. We're all interested. 😉Apologies to @Karagandinez for going off topic.
I'll reply by email.
