Vueroid S1 4K Infinite / Voice Notifications / AI-License Plate Restoration & Privacy / Video and Screenshots

1.) How do you like Vueroid's new 40% Road & 60% Sky recommendation?
It's unusual, after years of using the 50/50 recommendation.
2.) Are you seeing any image quality improvements with the new v.1.4.2. firmware?
The readability of European license plates in low visibility conditions has become slightly better.

we expect that " low visibility conditions has becomee slightly better ". just slightly better. the install guide is same effect . slightly better. it mean some corner case , it can affect "readable or not readable"

My two questions are the worst case scenario.
1.) What if owner / driver removes SD Card after an accident before car is towed away / impounded by police?
The owner / driver will not have readily available access to S1-4K.
2.) What if owner / driver is unconscious / expired after an accident, and first responder / police remove SD Card from S1-4K.
How will first responder / police know to download specialized / proprietary software.
Police / courts / government agency will most likely be unable / unwilling to download specialized / proprietary software to their government issued PC.
Hi @Chuck McCoy ,

It’s been a very long time. I haven’t been able to visit DCT often lately as I’ve been traveling around quite a bit.

I wanted to share some good news with you. You may have already heard about it. We previously discussed the idea of saving the last file using a super capacitor, and it was something I also agreed with to some extent.

Although it has not been released yet, I believe it will likely be included in the next firmware update. We still plan to maintain the current TFF file system without using a battery such as a super capacitor. However, we have made some modifications so that even if the power is suddenly cut off or the SD card is unexpectedly removed, the last file will remain usable and playable.
This means that even in situations where the driver loses consciousness, anyone, such as the police, will still be able to access and check the last footage.

I believe this improvement is due to your input. I look forward to you testing it once the update is available.

Have a good day~
James

Can we consider 329 and S1 as the best dashcams on Earth
I think so. Those are my top two at the moment.

I also need to take a closer look at the Blackvue Elite 9. Video quality there also seems pretty good, way better than the DR970X Plus series, it's got buffered parking recording and a fast starting low power parking mode. Unlike the Viofo and Vueroid, it also offers cloud features. It is limited to just 2CH though instead of 3CH. Either way, I think it could be a strong contender too.
