There are two ways to upgrade the firmware:
Method 1: VUEROID HUB App (Automatic Update)
After downloading the VUEROID HUB App and connecting the device, the app will automatically compare the firmware version on your product with the version on our server.
If a newer firmware is available, the app will prompt you to download and update it.
Please note that if an update includes significant improvements in functionality or image quality, it may be applied as a forced upgrade.
Does the interior channel need to be connected in the 3CH model for the firmware update to work? I can make a support ticket, but decided to ask here first if there's a quick answer. If that is required, that would explain my issues.
Unfortunately, no microSD / SD card reader. I forgot most laptops & USB hubs don't have SD card slots anymore. Could've swore my old laptop did.
The issue I'm experiencing: the app transfers the firmware, the dashcam reboots, but the dashcam never actually upgrades from V1.09.
- I installed the app fresh, connected it to dashcam's Wi-Fi (set to 5 GHz). Connected!
- It immediately starts to download the
S1-4K_firmware_v1.311.zip update (likely the forced upgrade you mentioned).
- The app transfers the firmware to the dashcam & the dashcam automatically reboots.
- The camera turns back on, however it is still on V1.09. The Wi-Fi is disabled after rebooting.
- I turn on the dashcam's Wi-Fi, reconnect the app to the dashcam: the app also confirm it's stuck on V1.09 and starts the forced upgrade again.
I've done this cycle three times. I also tried a Factory Reset: same problem. I turned my car off & on: same problem. I tried the on/off switch on the Vueroid: same problem. I unplugged and replugged the cables on the Vueroid: all seem secure, it records great, but the firmware still won't upgrade.
Most peculiarly, if I stop the forced update → go to settings → firmware update, it claims there is "No update items available".
Did I miss some important step for the app update process?
The setup, if helpful:
Camera: Vueroid S1 4K Infinite 3CH (however currently, only front + rear cameras are connected)
MicroSD card: bundled Vueroid 512GB microSD
Power source: included cigarette lighter
Current FW version (per the dashcam + Hub app): V1.09
iOS app version: 1.4.0 (released 2 days ago)
Phone: iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 26.2
