Those 2 top things are what i would want to build if i had a house and a place to tinker, i would make mine electrical and able to retrofit a amped up paintgun to it shooting steel ball bearings.

This way winter should be a breeze and any thieves will get a welcome they will never forget.
 
There was a guy here that put one on the rack of bicycle, worked pretty good with a decent top speed.
