What is up With My Default WIFI Name

I just got a DR650 and am setting it up. I am trying to connect through WIFI on my phone with the Blackvue App, but the WIFI name from the device is listed as KITTY (not the DR650GW.... name the manual gives as an example) and the default password, blackvue, doesn't work. Is there a way to reset this?

I bought it new of amazon, but I figured it might be a possibility. I do have a new miro SD card on the way that I plan on using. Is the Wifi info tied to the card or is it part of the camera itself?

Hi

Your cam is 2nd hand. If it was sold by Amazon, get your money back. The password is part of the cam, as the cam initialises the card after it's been formatted. When you attempt to connect via wifi, you should be given the opportunity to change the password. Try formatting your card in the cam first, before trying the wifi.

Press and hold the WiFi button on the side of the dashcam for 7 seconds. This will perform a reboot of the device.
