Where to buy Mobius camera

I am not affiliated with buymobius but when someone discreetly does an exceptional service, then it should be given credit where credit is due. I also don't contribute much here but I figured my post can help someone.

His other business name is NOVOTM = Buymobius

It's safe to say Spy Tec Inc is out. 10 days,2 lies, 1 chat session, 2 phone calls (1.25 hours) and an e-mail later they still hadn't actually shipped anything. Perhaps I'm one of the few, but had they not lied and said the first shipment got lost and then lied and said they would expedite a new order and just said "hey look, sorry we didn't actually ship anything yet. We will send it 2nd day air" I would have been on board and appreciated the honesty. The main reason I got a dash cam was because there are too many liars out there - Spy Tec is clearly one of them.

I almost bought from them but I think they were a bit more. Thanks for the warning.

They need to take a closer look at ordering/shipping direct orders because ordering from Amazon goes fine, but Amazon is the one that sends out orders and holds them accountable for when/if they don't ship something out.

Customer service is another; I waited on hold for 20 minutes for him to provide me a tracking number that was bogus; thankfully I made him check it while we were on the phone. Then on hold for another 25 minutes while he figured out why that first tracking number didn't work; I finally hung up and called back and sure as can be nothing was ever shipped. It just blows my mind when businesses lose themselves $300, plus what my boss would have spent getting dash cams for the business cars, plus any friends and family.

My experience with SpyTec is opposite of yours, but there was apparently some miscommunication happening in their office a couple times. I had 2 dud cams- the original and it's replacement- my usual luck and not SpyTec's fault as the problems weren't happening at power-up testing, but later on in use. The end result for me was a Fed-Ex overnight shipment which they did not have to do at all and I hadn't asked for it. With it's cost I'm sure they lost a bundle on me. I bought there a second time- a great experience- and I would do so again.

Just relating my own experience with them, I don't have any horses in this race.

How long ago was it that you ordered?

If it really matters I can hunt it down, but IIRC I bought the Mobius sometime in July and the G1Wc was in early April.

Just wondering if it was recent. High turn overs, not enough employees etc all play a part, as a small business owner I'm just curious what has changed for them and if it might be a fluke or if they are getting worse.

Well, nobody is perfect and staff changes can bring about all kinds of problems too. I don't know anything more than what I've already related here and I won't speculate on what I don't know.

Spy-Tec was kind enough to reach out via the forums and dig deeper into what happened. Chalked it up to a lack of communication and a missed opportunity to ship it out the same day. I'm pretty confident that should I order in the future things will go smoother.

any one bought that cam from banggood? how is their service
thanks

Your welcome! I do not have any information concerning Banggood, sorry. Amazon, eBay, and any of the trusted vendors listed on this forum, and I am sure you can find anything you need. Your link only brings up your shopping cart which is empty. Maybe start with a suction cup mount for your windshield and go from there. You can also find nice mounts that attach with 3m vhb tape that are small and really stick. Do not be concerned, you will get the hang of it fast. I did, and I have always been a little challenged in these areas. Good Luck! A lot of reading but very comprehensive https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threa...help-requests-here-read-posts-1-8-first.4232/

juneja,

All my Mobius camera's x5 Lens C and C2 came from Banggood UK the delivery was only a few days and everything worked 100% good, recently I ordered another Lens C2 from Banggood.com as they had an offer on which was amazing it was only £38.

So far so good with Banggood if I need anything else it will come from them.

If the UK site will send international...

It really comes down to personal preference. How do you want it mounted? What's legal there? Do you want to rotate 360 by hand? Do you want it to be easily removed? Are you going to pull videos from it with it still mounted in the car?

i ordered it can't wait to get and play with it
