Its not working because you are using notepad you need notepad ++ and change the preference in settings on new document to uni and asci

In here you'll find only two type of firmware, because are the same for different build of camera.
You can check md5 on your own to be sure about that.

Both of firmware are customized to get 35Mbps for every resolution in High Quality mode.
Medium and low quality are untouched.

Before flash rename it "firmware.bin" and copy in the root of microSD card.

Hello, again Mr. Fried: Will these upgrades " go away when I donload my videos for post processing, and format the micro sd card?
. Fried, I've seen an 80+ % increase in bitrate recording 2k on high quality from 103 MBs to 122 MB's in one minute..Funny though,
the ring light was red for a time!

lines 6-8 are 35, 10 and 8. I'm not sure if that's 2k related. maybe I have to change & try it, but for now I'm too lazy. I'm very happy that everything is working perfectly for me. Maybe Fried knows something about it. @Fried: Do you know what lines are responsible for 2k?


Maybe you're right, but 30 or 35 isn't that much of a difference to me, so I don't really care about a (in my eyes) tiny detail like that 🙂

I recommend to buy the powerbar on banggood.com. Be sure to choose priority mail for about 1,80 dollar or something (it's worth every cent!). choose the 10.000mAh xiaomi powerbank. the old one is 10.400mAh and a little bigger. the new ones are really great (smaller and nice design). and it's always good to buy a rubber case for it, too.

2) I wanted to switch to video mode 0x00 so 1440p as I hate upscaling by postprocess before uploading to youtube as it downsizes 2.3k to 1080p all the time.. but camera just blinks when I set video mode to 1440p any sugeestions how to set it?

For example: if I'm in a room and I turn the camera to the window where is more light, all I can se is a big white splash for about 6-7 seconds, than the camera starting to show the actual image.
Does anybody has this problem and solved it? Thank you!

Was the room very dark? Do you have fw 1.2.13?
I have ser.# z22L and do not have that much delay in the cam compensating for changes. You could try factory reset after saving your images/videos.

No, the room is not very dark. It was only an example. It is the same issue if i shoot outside towards the sun, the image is fully white. I tried every FW, now i'm using 1.2.13 with SanDisk Ultra 16 GB.

It sounds like a bad sensor, can you return to local seller?
I have not used a card smaller than 32 gig. Do you have a 32 gig ultra?

This seems to be the official and latest non-factory firmware thread. I've read the OP, watched the video, download the firmware but still can't find what exactly it does differently to the hardware vs. the factory firmware (looking for a specs list etc)? Can someone tell me the difference?

I have the following camera:

Serial Number: Z23L523S2061505
Currently fw: 1.0.13

Will it provide any difference/capability of recording in 1080P 60fps?

No you won't lost any improve cause they are flashed inside cam memory not microsd card..

it's simple with custom firmware in this thread you'll get an higher bitrate, so better video quality than factory firmware..
