I was wondering if there's a way to make the Yi write larger movie files to the SD card when recording a video. It seems that a new video file is created once the filesize reaches around 1.9GB.

When I run
2304x1296 at 30fps with 35mbits, I have a new file generated roughly every 8 minutes... which also means that I lose a few seconds of footage in between.

Anybody has any information?

Thanks, I'll give it a go with a different SD card. But for the sake of the discussion.. is there any way to modify the filesize the camera writes?

2GB ist the Limit fat32 can handle!
Another Format like ntfs or ext3/4 are not supported from the Yi.

From the app, format the SD (it do it as exfat), so... no limit on the file size... Yicam cuts the videos every 2 gb, but there are some scripts on the forum to modify that parameter (mine cuts every 4gb)... Use the search and you will find it....
