@DT MI
unfortunatly, that's not the complete truth...
TODAYS Greek Government is "radical left", call themselve "Socialist Party" aso - but they are still far away of TRUE Socialism.
More importantly, Greek's Situation has been caused by older ("democratic" and "republican") Governments, who cheated their Country's Finance-Situation to fit the so called "Criteria of Maastricht", so they could get the "Euro"... And that common currency of European Union (NOT to be confused with "Europe") has been built on wrong decisions, implemented wrong (no common Economy, only the currency), and even the founding Memberstates of the Euro cheated by themself, what in the end led to the "EuroCrisis" when first country relying on its service-sector stumbled over the "Subprime-Crisis"...
But, as "Fear of Socialism" is as common as "Fear of Fascism" over here, it's been forged to blame todays Greek Government (elected 2014 due to the greeks rather choose socialism and a chance to live (they don't have a functional health-system anymore!!)) than the old partys who actually caused the problems almost 13 years earlier... (main-reason: european union, with their good idea of making a common currency, their bad implementation without needed basics, cheating all around (not only Greece; France is at the verge of going bankrupt right now! Germany HAS BEEN bankrupt in 2000/2001)... Hence the "Brexit"-Debate in GreatBritain: those with open eyes are realising how bad and malicious the EU has become... It HAS been a good idea, but being corrupted)
To compare: you can't realy blame Obama for Mistakes made by Bush Senior...
Oh - and: as long "Social" is being misseen as "Socialism", the biggest danger USA is facing at the moment are the two "free radicals" from the democratic and republican party... (sorry - it's just that I've seen the first interview of both - when they both agreed USA should start to drop A-Bombs and ask questions later... If Hillarious and Wig-Guy are truly the BEST candidates those two partys have... Well - as religious people would say "may god have mercy for us ALL"
and so much for "political mike's off topic of the day" ;-)
