Viofo A329S Review

There is a relativity problem with those words!
When it is morning here, it is late evening where you are.
When it is tomorrow here, sometimes it is today where you are.
I do not know if it was today or yesterday when you posted that post, I can't even calculate it without knowing what timezone you are in. The time I see on the post is not the time at which you posted it, it is the time that it was here at the time that you posted it, so the time on the post may, or may not, show a different day to the day you posted it!

In future, could you write something like "In around 10 hours time..." please? This is a global forum, a place where the sun is always shining, it is always morning, afternoon, evening, and night, simultaneously.

You seem to be the only person here not using relative times...
You better be joking, it's obvious he's in Canada so work out local time zones or just get notified on his YouTube channel subscription when a video goes up

It is a problem with a very easy solution! Just give relative times instead of absolute times, it would make life easier for us all!

While I know he is normally in Canada, Canada is a big place, it goes a quarter of the way around Earth, it has 6 timezones, so covers a quarter of a day, so the problem exists even within Canada, and I know SafedriveSolutions has workshops in the East and West of Canada.

If we assume he is west Canada, that means he is at most UTC-7.

He posted 23rd May just before midnight (UTC time) so he must mean Saturday Morning. (East canada is UTC-2:30 so would have posted on friday in Canada regardless). If we say morning ends at midday, that means we can expect to see his video here in the UK by 8pm at the latest (as we are UTC+1 currently)

Lmao you have issues.

Maybe I should delay the video to tomorrow morning ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡

I suppose next, you will expect everyone to use The Queens English when writing a post? Really, you should not troll the membership.

Do you mean the King's English?

Thanks for posting this at a socially acceptable time. Looks like Viofo LPID is at least comparable to the Thinkware and the Vueroid in terms of startup time. Do the other two also have hybrid parking mode options?

I may be talking about that in my next video.

I am still not big on the sleeping cameras even if they do wake up and get going damn fast these days.
But i must of course also accept that if you want parking guard over a longer period, well this is about the only way to do it with any sensible size power source.

I am wondering.
Say me favoring low bitrate on a timer, would it be possible to have the system go into this kind of parking mode instead of turning off completely like it is now ?
I think i would like that setup.

Does this have time lapse that switches to normal recording when it detects an impact, or is it a blanket time lapse or no time lapse, so you only get a couple of frames of someone/something fleeing the scene.

The first 4 frames of the Vueroid are identical, it's not properly awake yet!
The first 2 frames of the Thinkware are very overexposed, it hasn't opened its eyes properly yet!
Both the Thinkware and Vueroid are 15fps.
The Viofo is correctly exposed from frame 1 and has 30fps.

Yes, it does that, called Hybrid Low Bitrate, where it will switch from Low Bitrate to Low Power (sleep) Impact Detection on either a timer or a set battery voltage.

"Respectful"? Or "Respectable"? ๐Ÿค”

I wonder if the English king have gone thru the SAS course like the Danish king have passed our frogman course, a course very very few pass, many apply but less than a handful have the right stuff.
I respect our new king on that alone, otherwise not much of a monarchist in me.
