ALL Dash Cams Have Distortion- "Bending Images"

Can you not answer the question. I know you have the information.

P.S.- You previously referred to 155 or 160. Is that in millimeters. I really do not understand just how many lenses are associated with the Mini 0803.

155 or 160 degrees diagonal viewing angle, I've covered this before, that is how the measurement is offered for these

I don't mean to be persistent, but it's merely a simple question. Let's try this, what millimeter is the LENS? OR More precisely Β°s.

* Speaking of specifications, Not 'diagonal'.

if I had the answer to your question I would tell you, I don't, as I said before I provided the information I had at hand

This is the very first time that you have not been able to provide an answer. Would it make sense, or is it a fact Or not that the wide angle of the Mini 0803 is 143 Degrees? YES, OR NO.

I share the information I know, can't know everything, it's not my product so don't have all the detail you're after I'm afraid

No idea, they may have used another lens, only two choices were available previously but it has been 5 months since I've looked at these but specifications do get changed from time to time

I don't mean to be rude in any way but who are 'they'? So, if specifications are changed per Mini 0803, do you, or would you have knowledge that their are two distinct separate lenses for the same camera (Mini 0803)? If you have not looked in five months, but you did look at one time, what were the specifications when you looked? From the many comments you posted regarding the Mini 0803, you seem pretty much adept.

May I ask what your product is, I may be interested.

the 155 or 160 degree diagonal view lenses are what were in use at the time, first release was the 155, was changed in the second order to 160 but the intention was that either lens may be used, that could have changed, the manufacturer may change these at times depending on order requirement, supply changes etc, another lens could be in use by now, not something I've followed since, at one stage I was going to do this product but decided not to so haven't followed it closely, I'm reasonably familiar with the product though so if I see someone that has an issue and needs help I'll offer what information I can, that is all

not available in your market at this time

You keep referring to 'diagonal' which has "nothing" to do with the Degrees ( Β°) of the Wide Angle Lens. You are intertwining the diagonal degrees as being a measure "diagonally". I'm not asking that and you full well know my meaning. At this point, I have enough information and am somewhat disheartened of the fact that you pretend of not knowing. There is not really any more I can elaborate on, for you simply refuse to answer something (Lens Dimensions in Degrees), that everyone is well versed in.

I would have expected nothing less.

What of the issues with the external memory cards : i.e. > 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB?
It seems that the Mini 0803 works fine with all those sizes although I think the internal format command only works up to 16GB as it only does FAT16 format and it can only use FAT16 or FAT32 disk formats so if you use a microSDXC card which you must do to get 64GB then you have to use a unofficial disk formatting software since FAT32 is not officially supported on XC cards which means that Windows etc will refuse to give you the option.

This question doesn't make any sense at all. What 'millimeter' are you referring to? Focal Length? It won't tell you anything, unless you know the frame dimensions (i.e. sensor size in digital imaging). Physical size? Why would you want to know that, and what possible use could this datum provide?

I couldn't bring myself to read this entire thread, but I went through enough posts ... so here goes:

Practically all lenses have their Field Of View expressed in degrees (ΒΊ) measured DIAGONALLY. You seem to think this is something new or part of the great conspiracy by dashcam manufacturers. I can assure you it was already an established practice before the advent of a motorised carriage, never mind the dashcam.

Speaking of specifications, Not 'diagonal'

Diagonal Field Of View is one of the most important parts of any optical lens specification

You keep referring to 'diagonal' which has "nothing" to do with the Degrees ( Β°) of the Wide Angle Lens.

What are these mysterious "Degrees ( Β°) of the Wide Angle Lens"? Whether wide angle, or tele-, or whatever lens - DIAGONAL FIELD OF VIEW IS MEASURED IN DEGREES!

Oh, and if you want to avoid optical distortion at the point of image creation, either get a lens (with a desired DIAGONAL field of view) the size of your car, or decree to abolish the laws of physics πŸ˜‰

Thank you very much. I truly appreciate the assistance you have provided, along with some very useful information. We fully comprehend the pitfalls on purchasing outside the U.S. However, we are protected under International Law, as there are many safeguards to protect the consumer from 'shady' merchants. In reality, we are conducting an investigation and will keep you updated. Again, I very much appreciate the courtesy you have provided. I've read much about you.

Hi Synoptic12,
Could you let me know what international laws protect you? If you buy with a credit card you get some protection. As someone who deals with China 365 days of the year I would love to know these international laws. And I'm also not sure there is that much to read about JooVuu? If you have any questions just drop us a message at www.joovuu.com/contact .

Kind regards,

Thank you very much. So, would the internal format command work with 32 GB, as the camera (Mini 0803) states it supports such?

To avoid any further confusion, can any address the size of the Wide Angle Lens ( Mini 0803) i.e. > 135 - 143 - 155- 160? Is this not a question any can answer?

I think I already said that I think it does not, however the camera will work absolutely fine with a 32 GB card if you first format it on your PC using the Windows formatting tool and using FAT32 format.

Changing gears briefly, I'd like to know of the 'recycle, or 'loop' settings which are in increments of 1, 3, and 5 minutes. I understand this sets the file size and length for each recorded segment, but would like to know why there is a setting ( 3 modes) to accompany the recycling. If one is continuously recording to capture video, why would any opt for 1 minute, as opposed to 5 minutes? Most have suggested 1 minute but what is the reason for this? What I see is that each clip will be spliced at 1 minute for the 'default' setting. Why would one decide to have short splices ( 1 minute) rather than 5 minute? For instance, one is driving for one hour while recording video with an 8 GB internal memory ( No external card), why would any set 1 minute duration instead of 5 minute? Additionally, when would the loop or 'recycle' process take affect; A. Once the card is filled as per overwriting? Why would any set the 'recycle' option to "off"? We believe that the maximum recorded file is 3.66 G upon setting the recycle to off. Is this simply for the fact of NOT overwriting?

One last question please (too many questions!) , 'How long, or how many minutes of video would one obtain via an 8 GB internal card? Why have 32 0r 64 G when the camera continuously overwrites? All responses are most appreciated.

Thank you. Seeing that you may be available, could you address one of my previous questions regarding the "size" of the Mini 0803 lens?
