Yes I realize it's a very old camera. But for the sake of using it in a a beater backup truck can it be fixed or salvaged. When the camera turns on it boots up, switches to the main menu and then turns off. The loop continues until I take power away from it. Is it toast?

My camera produces mov files. The screen originally bothered me but since positioning it directly in front of the rear view mirror I cant even see the camera. So it doesn't seem to be as big a deal as I previously thought.

Nevermind, I figured it out. I was looking at auto power off instead of screen protection. Sucks it has to stay on for at least 3 minutes. I'd prefer about 10 seconds.

Okay thanks for the information. Most of the descriptions state the camera takes SDHC or TF. I haven't seen any mention of microsd. I know that once you stick a microsd card into the sd cradle it shouldn't matter but with these Chinese cams being finicky about memory I just wondered.
