I'm sorry, I've tried to find this answer in this forum, but I'm unable to.

My GPS worked fine when I used the internal memory. I'm now using a 32GB Class 6 card, which I've formatted (twice), and the GPS is not working. I suppose it could be a coincidence, too, and have nothing to do with the card. But the MPH in the upper left always shows 0MPH. There are GPS logs on the card, here's a couple lines from one of the logs:

V,050180,235944.003,,,,,0.00,-01.84,-13.48,+02.45;
V,050180,235944.003,,,,,0.00,+00.00,-10.41,+00.00;
V,050180,235944.003,,,,,0.00,-00.61,-10.41,+02.45;
V,050180,235944.003,,,,,0.00,+01.23,-11.03,+01.23;
V,050180,235944.003,,,,,0.00,+00.61,-11.64,+02.45;

Any ideas? It's only a few days old. I'd love tips for troubleshooting this.

Thanks!

I am noticing a noise and change in the video that coincide, as I look at the latest files. It's a soft chunk sound and a slight change in video, slightly dimmer. I guess it's a hardware failure.

My current theory is that the USB port built into my car provides poor/intermittent power. In the morning I'll use the lighter adapter I have rather than that port and see how it goes. My quick test in the dark seems to indicate that could be the answer.

Thanks!

The output of your built in USB port is perhaps not as high as the included charger which may lead to erratic results

Well, the included charger's cord is too short. I'll try a standard cigarette lighter USB port tomorrow. Already in the driveway in the dark I could see the GPS icon, so I think I'll be fine.

Thanks so much for chiming in, jokiin.

Power issue confirmed. I'm really glad I can still love my 0801. Works a charm.
