I have a 10.26 inch Dashcam reverse camera, purchased on ebay.
It has a front facing built in camera, and a plug in rear camera for reversing.
Attached are pics showing 5volt power specs and Dashcam I purchased.
I need to purchase another reverse camera that will plug into the existing monitor to replace the camera that came with the unit.
I purchased another 4pin 2.5mm jack camera, but when I plugged it in, all I got was a Blue screen, with a horizontal band of green colour.
My guess is the voltage was incompatible, and the replacement camera requires 12volt, not the 5volt that comes from my monitor connection.
So my question is:
Where can I get a 5volt 4pin 2.5mm jack reverse camera, or can I use the 12volt camera by boosting the voltage somehow?
I have exhausted all avenues if information from ebay suppliers and searches elsewhere.
I could just purchase the complete Dashcam kit again, but spending $140 to get the $20 camera is out of the question
