A139 with powercell8

Currently running a viofo a139 with hardwire kit.works great,turns on for normal recording,car off turns parking mode on.


now purchase a powercell 8 battery pack with unspliced output cable.to hopefully get longer run time.oroblem is now when I turn off my car it won't go into parking mode it just shuts off?I've soldered yellow to yellow red to red black to black.not sure what's goin on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I sent a reply to your PM. The PowerCell 8 output cable has a yellow wire for the constant power, a red wire for the accessory power and a black wire for the ground.

The HK3-C expects the constant power on the HK3-C's red wire, accessory power on the yellow wire and ground on the black wire.

You'll need to adjust your splice to account for the two different color schemes used by PowerCell 8 (EGEN) and VIOFO.
