The field of view reduction from 111° to 90° might be significant for some users, and most don't have side cameras. But I admit it's a nice option to have and no-one is forced to use it.The tiny bit of “cropping” around the four outside edges of frame are not missed.
Because those parts are bent / distorted anyway.
And anything missed can be captured with left & right side cameras.

Do you mean like driving through a round-a-bout?How does the dewarped view look when you're driving around bends?

I don’t think the difference between 90° vs 111° Horizontal FOV is an issue at all.The field of view reduction from 111° to 90° might be significant for some users
I don’t know all the details to give you a good answer until V2.1 is released on the official VIOFO website. This is excellent. I havent tested this myself.
DO i need to update the a239s dashcam and the battery pack for this to work?
Can you confirm that you can set hybrid parking to kick in when battery reaches 15 percent?
Is there anything different or any extra cabling required.
I am going to test this out on the weekend

I wish I could find a brick wall like @Karagandinez uses to check focus.I no longer really perceived how much barrel distortion the lens causes and was jolted back to reality by your flip comparisons above.....sensory adaptation at its best!
