No one's really bothered that you can't use 1440p nor even 60fps at 1080p with your front 512GW with this rear cam? @NextBase Tiffany any chances for future FW update for this?
 
@NextBase Tiffany currently on the website trying to order, and it's saying there's no stock left. Would you be able to confirm if all of the units you had in have been ordered already? I don't mind waiting, I'd just rather know than keep trying to put an order through if there's nothing to order against!

Nope, and I got offered one at the bootsale bargain price of 50 quid. Pulling a rear cam cable front to back was something I was considering on an upcoming towbar wiring install that needs a CANBus connection in the fusebox but it's probably easier to just wire up a standalone unit costing 50 quid to the back of the lghter socket in the boot that faff around with something that knobbles the recorded resolution of the front unit. Turning off the ridiculous Hi & Lo mode recording would be even more useful, as would stopping locked recordings on each and every door open and close, recordings that stop when stuck in traffic and that stupid logo on the screen.

Its possible it would be easier, if the port is closer, you do have to purchase/maintain another SD card then though.
The ability to turn off hi and lo res recording is/has already happened based on customer feedback.
The turning on when you open/close your door is parking mode, even door scrapes in car parks should now be covered. You could always turn parking mode off if you like? Its default set to off.
The logo can now be removed if you/anyone would like with custom firmware we have created - email me/us at support@nextbase.co.uk

To be clear, this is extremely unfair to all customers who have been waiting.

A customer who has been on the waiting list has posted it on there upon receiving the email yesterday, even though it had clearly stated on the mailshot that the discount was limited.

pretty disappointing for those that have been waiting patiently to get them to see them sold out from under them like that, poor form by whoever shared it there

I didn’t even receive an email. But still want to buy the rear cam. Sent pm message earlier today
 
No email either, and my "tag" Tiffany did didn't show up that I had been tagged either, until I just went back on this forum and saw it in Tiffanys post!.. should I have been notfiied I was tagged?. Not issue for Tiffany but forum setting maybe?. I guess I missed the boat... and that "skyhiigh" who posted the link to hotdeals uk, should be lynched!.

Update.....

Just went on nextbase site and could use code, so allowed me the dicsount!... happy chappy... 4-7 days delivery though due to demand... but happy to wait!... Thanks @NextBase Tiffany
