Blurry Video, Mobius 2 D lens

As far as viewing Mobius on my phone. This setup is not working.
Or maybe it's the app. But the app does not recognize the camera.

Mobius > OTG Cable > USB to C adapter > S9+

I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 Achieve and I think it work with Samsung or just the (Galaxy J3).

It's become essential to the projects, that I have the ability to view the video shot on a phone.
Always on the move (travel videos). It would be quite an annoyance to check the video with a laptop.

But.. if need be, it has to be done.

I just discovered the camera lens DID NOT get twisted in my waist pack, but many days earlier, while driving, with the Mobius attached to my head, using a modified Coast Head Lamp purchase at Costco. Over three hours of video footage unusable.

Unfortunately not all USB OTG cables are the same, and not all phones behave the same. I have tried three different USB C OTG cables for my Pixel phone but none of them work with a Mobius. I kept my old Samsung just to use with the mobius app.

If you just want to review the video quickly you can pop the card out and put it in one of these, which are small enough to fit in any travel bag.

I keep one in the car to view or copy dashcam video to my phone.

That's a good option. Not for focusing, but to save my as.

So... I'm looking for a Micro USB to C adaptors. That'll work with the S9. The C port will read the card. Thanks.

Thanks. I decided a backup Mobius is necessary.

This is the Mini? Reads 1080p, but from the pictures you posted...

I like the 110 degree lenses listed. Looking for the least amount of distortion.

I really liked jmdlcar's 4.35 lens. Could you
please tell me where it was purchased and if I can fit it in my Mobius 1, or another model?

For the backup camera. Would anyone offer up suggestions on which model to buy (not a super wide lens), and from where (quickly).

The newest models seem good, but the lens are very wide.

Thanks again.

The Mobius Mini should be avoided for dash cam use. It will experience overheating issues and there is no super-capacitor option.

I think @zznoname is using the Mobius for travel videos (not in a car) so the 110deg Mini (Lens A) might be a decent option, but its small battery only lasts about 30min. Also worthy of consideration is the Mobius 1 with A2 lens (87deg).

This is where I order it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/112151028854 I am not sure if it will work on the Mobius 1.

Thanks. What model Mobius are you using with this lense?

Right.
Mobius Mini = No.

Also, I have 6x, 820mAh to work with.

You all hate these type of questions, and it's been discussed ad nauseam, but... a link to a Mobius that doesn't have a super wide lens, and can be purchased quickly... You know, bail me out.

I'm sort of pissed at Buy Mobius selling the 1 as a 2. I thought my extensive research was enough, but my request for the D lens was the loophole.

I contacted Buy Mobius after the sale questioning why the D lens was so distorted. Thinking it was a mistake. But the distinctive lens design clearly showed it was a D.

I want jmdlcar's 4.35 lens on any camera. It's a beauty.

Thanks for your time and help. Much appreciated.

Oh right. I'm so accustomed to talking dash cams here that's my default mode when I read a post like that. Still, as you also point out, the Mini isn't the best option for that. I've carried a Mobius 1 with an A lens as a pocket camera for years and wouldn't be without it. Among other reasons to recommend the M1 as a pocket cam the two hour battery is a big plus.

I'm sold!
Where? I want one this week.
Again sorry.

Ops!
Thanks.

But that's the oldest camera.
Couldn't I just buy the A module for my Mobius 1, and buy another, new "fancy" Mobius as backup
Mobius 1 is the oldest, but still doing well and has decent image quality, especially for things like travel. As you know it's small and lightweight. It's not the best at low light which is where other dashcams now do much better.

If you want something 'fancy' in the same format as the Mobius 1, take a look at the GitUp F1, which is a 4K camera with wifi and bluetooth. It can record 1080p with decent image stabilisation that might come in handy for your travel videos. A 90deg version is available with very little distortion.

Ordinarily I'd recommend eletoponline365 on eBay. They're the Mobius manufacturer's eBay seller. Usually, it reliably takes ten days to two weeks to receive an order from them to the Northeastern US but since we're in the midst of the Chinese New Year holiday, who knows?

An alternative recommended US based vendor is Spytec. You'll pay more for the camera but they can probably get one to you sooner than anyone else. Spytech has a presence here on DCT but they haven't posted in quite some time.

https://www.spytec.com/mobius-1080p-hd-action-camera.html

Note that on their Mobius product page it says, "In a Rush? Order in the next 2 hours and 37 minutes to have it shipped today!"
