BRAND NEW 522 CRASHING AND FREEZING

hi all

like everyone else on here I'm having the same issues when the rear camera is connected up.

firmware - latest
128gB sandisk high endurance specific card (genuine)

32gB nextbase card used.

rear camera connected up with and without power on

parking sensor off

internal battery fully charged

full reset required to get the thing working.

NOT impressed.....looks like I may have to connect the old 402 back up again

Can I ask if you have the screen on, or off when the camera is recording(prior to it freezing)?

The screen is on and unresponsive

Can you try it with the screen off, say set it to go off after 30 seconds, and see if the camera operates fine then..just touch the screen occasionally to wake it to check.
The units run really hot with the screen on.

**UPDATE**
After a spot of trial and error, I found what appeared to be an issue with the 6m long cable (that comes with the rear camera). I had wired the rear camera through the roof lining and the outer insulation had been compressed and snagged in a few places, although no evidence of the cable been cut. I've now re-routed the cable via the floor footwells and along the door seals back up under the front n/s door pillar trim ... HEY PRESTO, it WORKS !!!
