Can't get parking mode activated using a Vico-Power hardwire kit

First kit:
The hardwire kit itself became very hot to the touch. Would not power up the cam when the engine turns on. To get it working again, the CONSTANT wire had to be physically disconnected from the fuse box then reconnect again. Again, the kit still stay very hot to touch.

Second kit:
It would never stop providing power to the cam even with the power guard off, motion detect off, and the engine turn off.

Third kit:
Same issues as the second kit.

Fourth kit:
The power guard on and the motion detect are on. The cam turned off after the voltage went down below the trip voltage. But then when the engine turns off and the battery voltage goes pass the trip point, the cam would not automatically turn on. It had to be turn on manually.

this is strange, please return this kit to the distributor or to us directly so we can check what happened on this kit

this is normal according your wire installation for constant power supply.

we designed a "0.2V voltage un-load compensation" in the software: for example if the band set to 12.2V, when the voltage of acid accumulator is decreased to 12.2V the output will be cut off, then the accumulator voltage will be slim higher because no load; the 0.2V compensation will help to make sure the camera will not power on agian in this situation. When the engine start the accumulator voltage will go to >13V, which exceed 0.2V compensation so there will be output from hardwire kit.

so in your case, when the engine is off, the battery voltage goes pass the trip point a little, the camera will not power on automatically. Even if you manually turn it on, the camera will auto power off soon.
But when you ignite engine, the camera will power on immediately and keep recording.

Here's the thing, even when "igniting" the engine, the cam does not power on. It stays off and can only be power on by manually pushing the power on button.

Estore009 have already ask me to do that. But, I'm not going to send it in until I get the replacement I ordered.

when the battery drop to trip voltage, camera turn off ---- the drain protecting function works
when engine ignited, camera can be manually power on ---- the power supply from hardwire kit is correct
so please:
1, check the camera with cigar charger, if it is power on / off properly
2, plug / unplug the microUSB connector from hardwire kit to the camera instead of engine ignite, check if it is power on / off properly
3, is this a aged car which need a long time to ignite the engine? please look clost the LEDs on camera to get some idea during igniting

Going to the USB charger works correctly, that is the USB cable coming from the USB charger, the CAM turns on when the engine turns on and off when engine turns off.

2, plug / unplug the microUSB connector from hardwire kit to the camera instead of engine ignite, check if it is power on / off properly
With the engine off with the RED connected to CONSTANT and YELLOW connected to ACC, the CAM will not come up. Going to the USB charger works. To get the hardwire kit to work again, the RED has to be physically disconnect from the fuse box then reconnected.

This is a 2017 model, it's not even 1 year old yet. So, no, the engine cranks right away.
