Does anyone know if it is possible to convert a battery-based dash cam into a Super Capacitor-based dash cam system? I would be willing to add other electronics/electrical components to accomplish such conversion. My goal is to use the Koonlung K1S 2-channel dash cam (which uses a replaceable battery in its remote DVR unit) to record 24/7 in parking mode. The K1S dash cam system has a crude form of parking mode but I can live with that, and also (obviously), when I say "to record 24/7" I don't mean the dash cam will be actually recording constantly, since nothing is recorded if there is no motion detected; "24/7 standby recording" might be a more precise term!

If the power supply of the camera isn't designed for it then it's generally problematic, some people have had some success with other models but I think that has been more good luck than anything else
