Does Blackvue dash cam auto update?

Question.. I have a Blackvue DR900X-2CHPLUS system and the other day i noticed the red dots or line beside firmware update, but was busy so was going to do it later. Today I was gonna update it and noticed the red mark was gone. So I clicked firmware update anyways and it downloaded it then said it was the same as the current firmware and asked if I wanted to install it anyway. I clicked no. Did it update on its own? Im assuming so but dont see anything online about unit auto updating firmware.
Current firmware is v1.004

No. The app fill flag there is a new firmware available and then you need to trigger it from your phone.
