Every time anyone brings up increasing the Highway speed , the retards go into a fit foaming at the mouth about how an extra 10KMH is going to kill thousands of people ..
Exactly the same thing occurred when they went from 100 to 110 ...
The doom and gloom crowd predicted destruction on a unprecedented scale , they were some what disappointed when sweet "F" all happened from the norm ..
40 years ago the speed limit was 100kph .. Cars were Rubbish , brakes were rubbish , suspension was rubbish and tires were rubbish ..
2017 and cars are sooooo much better , the open road speed is 110kph
Obviously the stupid people might have problems @ 120kph , but those same people will have exactly the same problems @ 110kph or 100
We had 1% for a short time .. And they found that 1000's of motorists were fined wrongly ...
It was only with the advent of GPS data logging , that some one with a good lawyer took the state to court and said HEY !!!!
ASS Holes , my GPS data say's I was not speeding ... So why did I get a ticket ?
So after testing his GPS etc , it was found to be accurate and the state had to drop the 1% thing as the cameras and system in place was not accurate enough for such a tight tolerance . ( towards speeding )
In fact the cameras themselves were inducing false readings due to the wind moving the camera mounts . ( was it up to 20% error or more )
I have no idea what the tolerance is currently ? ( Victoria Australia , is it back to 5% )

Numbers for that are higher up here, i would say driving 80 km/h on a highway 90 % of cars coming up from behind will pass me.
It is actually at a level that if a car do not pass me, then i am applauding that out loud in my car, mostly after a while of the car not overtaking, and then saying "well i am a fooking mazed"
To reach your numbers i estimate i would have to be going 90 km/h where 80 is the limit.
Here 6% of the speed is factored off to account for any loss/gains in mesuring equipment.
