DV988 Android App connection Issues

Hi All just bought my DV988 and I'm having issues with connecting my phone App as it will not connect I have downloaded Roadcam as instructed and it has a rating of 2.2 !!
My Phone recognises the DV and the WIFI emblem goes green for a split second then nothing, I've tried for hours to no avail so pretty useless is there any other Apps that can be used with this Cam? Cheers T
 
Never recommend Roadcam anymore!

No need to update this DV988 unit if it is from a newer batch after December/2021 year!

Thank you two things when downloading the firmware it comes up with Whoops 7524 is not supported for importing
second once the YingZhen id downloaded on to my Android phone when connecting to the 988 it asks for a password and does not connect automatically?
sorry still stuck with this do you know the password please

And default password should be 1234567890

How to load new firmware to camera by Windows computer?


1. Format the SD card in FAT32 format (If 32GB card you use, please format as FAT32 by Windows computer; if 64GB card, please use this GuiFormat tool to format as FAT32 by Windows computer).

2. Copy the bin files over to the root directory of the SD card and put the card into the camera.

3. Power on the camera and the firmware should automatically move onto the camera, leave for 30 seconds to 1 minute to ensure the firmware has updated the camera.

4. Take out the SD card and reformat it as FAT32.

5. Place the SD card back into the camera.

6. Check the firmware version on the dashcam menu. Its firmware version should be MTX121D-2020-12-16134

Hello,

I follow the instructions on this forum but my dv988 doesn't power back after it said write done. After that it reboot then it stops on the blueskysea logo then all black16236821080458600731478219284373.jpg
Can anyone please help i hope i didn't brick my camera.
 
Do you know your previous firmware version? or take me a photo of its QC label?
