Firmware Problem

My 0803 after working well stopped overwriting old files and once the card was full stopped working. I tried to reset and was advised to upgrade firmware 2013913 to newer version. I downloaded as per instruction, changed name to "firmware.bin" put it on chip (formatted on camera) alongside other folders (gps etc). Once camera starts up in car it does not offer me the alternative to upgrade. What am i doing wrong?

Thanks. Any idea what filename might be. Cant see anything in manual

Depends what version is on it now as to what filename is required

In set up menu the firmware installed is FW VER:20130913
