well, regarding the sound problem, this was the problem of the first batch, from the second batch, there is no such problem.
please inform me the firmware version number of G90 on your hand, I'll send the updated firmware to you.

This A7LA70 version should be capable of 1080p@60fps .....am I correct ?

Is there a way to figure out if HDR is on or off by looking at the file properties?
 
I never noticed anything - easiest way was to look closely at lights to see and if you freeze frame street lights as they get close if HDR was on you get duplicates where the HDR hasn't merged the frames correctly. I get the same behaviour on the LS460W so looks like they're also trying to do something clever in firmware and failing.

If I was a betting man I'd say the CVR-M2 and CVR-M2G have the best chance of working as they're for the CVR-7810 (-G) which are the same base hardware platform.

Hmmm... The screenshot with the mini cooper is definitely different as one is clear and the other is in motion.
May be due to difference in VBR?

What's the difference in video quality G90 vs G90 with custom firmware?

Also, does running at 24mbps affect G90 in adverse way? I mean overheating, skipping etc?
What about video file size?
Any improvement in audio?

If everything looks good, I can also upgrade in the future.

The LS460W has issues with motion close up from what I've seen - they seem to be keeping the exposure levels high to keep the picture brighter in harsher conditions at the expense of sharpness.

Unfortunately I can't directly compare as only have one G90 so you can do those tests yourself if you just do the same run twice in quick succession so the lighting etc is similar :)

The G90 gets hot but you'd need to do longer term testing to see how stability is - I ran it for an hour with no issues and to be honest it wasn't that hot to be honest and it's about 26 celsius here outside.

As you can see it's hitting almost 250MB per minute so you'd get around 32 mins on an 8GB card at that rate so working that out:

8GB - 30mins
16GB - 1 hour
32GB - 2 hours
64GB - 4 hours

Audio is better with the latest firmware that Doreen supplied but still has clipping - if the mic was bad in the first batch then there's only so much they can do to polish a turd :)

I think it's fair to say the G90 is punching above it's weight!
