Garmin mini 2 hardwire kit, perm record?

Hi all

I have recently fitted a garmin mini 2 using the hardwire kit. It now working in parking mode (after some frustration with cutting out but found the jumper at 12v so moved to 11.7).

However the lack of motion detection is annoying and I'm not sure about relying on the g sensor. If I wired the switched live to the permanent live then I know the camera would keep recording and I feel this is better. Does anybody know if the voltage protection will still work though?

Most likely it will not. You are turning the camera into the driving mode.

Thinking about it your going to be right. I guess the acc being live bypasses the cut off. I might just by an older garmin model and move the mini 2 to the rear
