GT300W FIRST TEST

Videos are always set as individual files, you can stitch them together into a single file on your PC the cameras don't do this

If the camera would do this, there would be a problem with the maximum file size of the FAT32 file system which is 4GB. FAT32 is commonly used by dashcams.

Got old CPL filter from GS camera too and it fits right in, a small black part is in corner but i can live with it.
Cool, could you tell me where to get the adaptor to fit the CPL to the camera?

It was only a lucky accident that the ring from my previous camera GS1000 happened to be just the right size.
Here is image from that project.

These are parts of gs1000.

Easiest way to make it fit is to buy a cpl filter sized 30.5 mm (marumi makes it).
If you want you can use suitable tube to attach it to camera, or you can glue it to it's place directly.
Tube adapter is handy because then you can remove filter in dark.
If you can't find marumi filter from netherlands you can try this finnish site.

Marumi is not the best filter but it is only one that i know that have small sizes.

Few little CPL filters:

Leinox: https://www.amazon.de/gp/B0032EVWL2
Pro Tama: https://www.amazon.de/gp/B003LIEXT2
Leadoff: https://www.amazon.de/gp/B00B66C1CC
Polaroid: https://www.amazon.de/gp/B004N23H6U
I searched only on amazon.de, but I'm sure that anyone can find similar filters on amazon.fr, or .uk, etc.
Also, there are some CPL filters with 25mm or 28mm size, for someone who needs even a smaller size.

Massa: https://www.amazon.de/gp/B00BK7Y94AProTama: https://www.amazon.de/gp/B003LIETJQ

No problem getting the marumi. Just wondering how I'd have to connect it.

I'll give it a shot.

Nice find on the filter!

Got my GT300W today after trying to decide between that and the LS300W for a while. Been trolling the forums here and went with the GT300W from FoxOffer. Ordered on Sunday the 7th and got it Friday the 12th here in California. I think it would have been even faster if they weren't out of stock at the time of my order, but they mentioned they would get stock on the 10th.

Just went for a drive and everything works great with my 16GB SD card formatted in the GT300W. Will get on Amazon and order that 32GB Class 10 SanDisk SD. Picture is pretty sharp and overall I'm happy so far after using it for 15 mins :D

By the way, what is Loop Recording? I guess it's like a DVR where it starts to overwrite the oldest videos when the SD is near full? So why the 2, 3, 5 min options?

Thanks...

I see. Since I have Loop Record off right now, I get 1 nice big file per car trip. I'm sure I'll turn it on and set it to 5 mins like everyone else so it can act as a DVR. I'll then have to merge them together with some software down the road. Thanks for your help!

Remember that some of the last frames of each clip are also in the next clip.
So the information is saved twice for about one second.

If you put all your recordings into one big file, you will see something like a glitch or double scene because of this reason.

I got GT300W yesterday and take some clips with it at night but its seem the video quality not good as videos someone post in this thread.
Its seem many noise in my clips.

Please watch the clips below and tell me the video quality is ok or not.

And I scare my GT300W is fake. How can I check it origin or fake camera?

Your video at night looks about right, double check your setting make sure it's at default.

You paid a bit higher but it looks about right to me, it does not appear to be a fake.
Remember your posted videos were shot in pretty dark situations, almost pitch black at times, unlike other videos you may see on highways that are well lit or in big cities with an abundance of artificial light. I think your night videos are great for the price. And no, WDR cannot be turned off (yet)

sorry about the price, i do not tell clearly: $150 = GT300W + SanDisk 32Gb Class10 + ship to home (I bought it from a saleman, he live in orther city).

For clearly my dashcam is fake or not, I open my GT300W dashcam: the chip, battery, board, ... exactly like the pictures below:

(I don't post my pics because it the same)
