How to turn off LED on ITB-100 SP model?

Hi,
I got new ITB-100 SP 3 days ago. Yesterday I installed ITB-100 SP with UPC (Lukas lk-290) but its seem White LED is easy to notice. I try to search if anyway to disable its. The only way is black duct tape, Which is i don't like it.
So is there another way than black duct tape, Just like mod firmware ?

As much as you don't like it. Black tape easily does the trick... That is what I do.

Not sure if you've seen it, but there is now a new Player version and firmware version, which does have the capability to control the forward facing LED next to the lens.
