Impatient driver using horn finally gets his dues

Some pedestrians just expect to be able to cross without looking then wonder why they get hit.

And then we wonder why we're being sued. And then we're glad we have dashcams. But then we wish we lived in a society where common sense was still common, especially in the courts. :(

Sad to say but in the UK, courts would come down hard on the driver. Even though the highway code specifically tells pedestrians how best to cross the road (look before stepping out, keep looking whilst crossing, don't dawdle etc) judges wouldn't come down on the pedestrians - makes a mockery of the whole system really. the book is written as a guide for everyone who uses a road but only ever applied to motorised vehicles.
Judging by the things I see every day, pedestrians seem to 'know' that they have 100% right of way - in fact, when you read some of the comments from drivers, you come to understand why... "you must stop at a zebra crossing if a pedestrian is within 10 yards", "if the pedestrian is on the crossing" (this guy was actually assuming that the section of pavement with raised bumps (to aid the blind) was a part of the crossing - even though it's on the pavement!), "you must stop if a pedestrian is waiting to cross"
