Congratulations. Do share your feedback after using it for a few days. Do put up a few sample videos of the dashcam to see how it functions during your usage.
 
So far everything seems to be working great. When I start the car a voice comes on and tells me it is recording 2 channel, and when I turn the key off it tells me it has gone into parking mode 2 channel. Now I am just wondering if I have to view any video what do I do ?

If you are interested in what and how is recorded, then take a look.
If you are not interested, then you can not look.
 
Every time I start the car a small voice tells me it is recording two channels and when I stop and go into the store it tells me it is recording in parking mode two channels. I love it.
 
I just installed the a229 duo into another car. Do I need to make any changes ?
 
Check lens adjustment, (50/50 sky & road).
