MEGtech is the manufacturer, CAMDII is just a brand name they registered

So just to report back on this. I sent my old unit back and Combi confirmed there was nothing wrong with it and it upgraded on the first attempt they tried

Anyway, great service, they swapped my unit and sent me out a brand new one anyway, with the latest firmware. I still have no clue what the problem was.

i had the same problem as @knwatkins .
but when i switched cards from 128gb to 16gb it updated just fine.
mind you, the camera functions well with the 128gb, it just wouldn't update ...

I exclusive use 32 GB or smaller cards for updating, even pretty old SDHC 4 GB cards have worked several times for me.
You can also use a larger card, but it must first have been formatted in the camera, then it should work just fine.
