Lane splitting motos crashing into each other

It looks like the car behind them overtook them when the carpool lane started. Then they crashed for whatever reason. Blocked by the blue semi so I didn't see what happened.
 
I'm not 100% certain they were lane splitting. They may have been about to though, and that could have been when it went wrong.
