I saw the recommendation on the DCT home page for a Lukas LK-7950 WD but it appears this model is still a work-in-progress with significant complaints. Also, two of three reviews on one Amazon listing talk about defective products. I really don't need the aggravation.

I saw that Lucas also carries the 9750, 9350 that have (much preferred) LCD screens but not a lot of info is available -- did see some GPS complaints and over-saturated video complaints.

The prices are ok but I'm wondering if I should be looking at another brand, even if more expensive, or perhaps wait until something better comes out? What would you do? I'm really looking for great day/night performance.....

You might want to consider two independent systems for the best performance and bonus redundancy. You will see some new VERY interesting dual channel products in about three or four months for sure

The Thinkware F750 seems a popular choice at the moment although it's early doors so problems haven't had chance to surface - if you're not bothered about parking mode the Dome G5WA may be worth a look but there are issues with focus drifting on the initial batch and firmware issues that need to be fixed. I've tried the Lukas LK7950 and it's stable and decent enough but just low bitrate and has issues with missing footage when the scenery gets complicated.

My personal favourite is the Panorama X2 and I'm still yet to see anything match it but it does have some firmware issues also that need resolving.

In short none of the dual camera channels are perfect yet.

I was also looking for a dual lens dashcam with a screen recently. I settled on the FINEVu CR2000G. A nice camera overall with very good quality video. It's not perfect, as I have already had a couple of corrupted files in the week that I have been using it. This could be due to the SD card I have in it, though.

Here is what my short list looked like:

FINEVu CR2000G - https://dashcamtalk.com/finevu-cr-2000g/
iNavi Thinkware X300 - http://www.thinkware.com/Products/Dashcam/X300
iNavi Thinware X500 - http://www.thinkware.com/Products/Dashcam/X500
Powerucc Panorama X2 - https://dashcamtalk.com/panorama-x2/
Vicovation Marcus 5 - http://www.vicovation.com/product.asp?IDno=24&lang=eng
Lukas LK-9350 - http://lukashd.com/dashcam/product_info/dashcam_9350duo.html
Lukas LK-9750 - http://lukashd.com/dashcam/product_info/dashcam_9750duo.html
Blackvue DR750GW - https://dashcamtalk.com/blackvue-dr750lw-2ch/

The I whittled down the list based on obvious flaws and personal needs. The Lukas and Blackvue models have low video bitrate, the mounts for the Marcus 5 and Panorama X2 didn't suit me (not easy to remove/replace or too easy to see from outside the car, and the Thinkware models are expensive since the rear cameras are optional and cost an extra $100.

If you don't mind giving up the screen, the Blacksys CF-100 is a great choice, and you can get it at Amazon for $95. https://www.amazon.com/gp/B00LBQGKX8
It's tough to find info out there on all of these models, but it's there if you look hard enough. It can also be tough to find reputable dealers to buy from at a decent price. Good luck!

At the moment there are no perfect 2ch dashcam systems. From video recording quality point of view Panorama X2 is the best from all available, but bulky main unit size may not suit every one. All 2ch dashcam systems have their pros- and cons., some low bit-rate, some bugs in firmware etc.
I find Blacksys CF-100 is the best practical solution to have good quality / reliable 2 channel dashcam until that perfect 2 channel will be released ( hopefully by the end of this year ).

I'm tempted to buy a CF-100 to try as they have been available at a bargain price recently :)

I did a site search on Blacksys CF-100 but nothing turned up. Am I missing a review somewhere?? Went to youtube and watched some pretty-darn-good vid clips.

I really appreciate the effort that went into that post. I'm gonna run down all those leads .....

What products are coming out in the future that you like?

I've picked up a Blacksys CF-100 to tide me over ......

Too early to release details but all I can say is I'm impressed with what's in the works. I'm sure you'll want to upgrade.

I can recommend you the LK-7950. Full HD Front + Full HD Rear 1080p. It comes sony lens with g sensor and motion detector, which will record and save the data automatically after there is any impact during the time of driving and parking. You won't need to worry about losing any important data because it will saved separately in a micro sd card, which means the daily driving videos and the impact data is separated into two SD card(8+8GB). It provide low voltage cut out, which you don't have to worry about the electricity in your vehicle. Also you can add one more CPL filter in order to make the video more clear by reducing the sunlight reflection. It's operating temperature is from -20℃ to 70 which the Lukas cams can solve the important problem of overheat comparing with the other brand in the market cannot It will be smaller than the other Lukas two channels cam and it is working in wifi too. Simply you can download the app in your smart phone and view your videos recording, or you can take out the sd card then insert into any computer and watch it. It is the smallest two channel dash cam in Lukas and there is no LCD screen compared with the other models. And GPS optional.
On the other hand, if you don't need the wifi function, you can choose the LK-9350. It also comes with the above spec but there is a touch screen monitor for you.

If you demand a good quality one channel dash cam for $150 in US dollar. You can check the Lukas dash cam in Vancouver BC, Witness Auto Dash Cam can help you with that.
We recommend you to purchase the one channel dash cam like the LK-7700. It comes samsung len with g sensor and motion detector, which almost the same spec. You won't need to worry about losing any important data because it will saved separately in the sd card, which means the daily driving videos and the impact data is separated (8GB). However. I would recommend you to purchase one more battery pack(LK290) because it cannot support the parking mode while your engine is stopping, only the Lukas two channels can do that without an extra battery pack.

Check the our retail store (my user name) in Vancouver BC with the good currency between US$ and Canada$.
Or you can check our website, also you can search it using my user name.
And even check our youtube channel for more videos.

The CF-100 came in. I powered it up and formatted the card. Voice prompts coming from the machine were normal. Machine said that DVR was started.

I connected a portable TV thru the A/V port to aim the unit but I could obtain no picture. I drove for several miles and stopped and powered down. Pulled the card and went to the computer. Downloaded the manufacturer's app. The app shows four files, all blank.

Unfortunately, it appears DOA. Guess I'll return this and pick up a SG9665GC to tide me over.......
