The most popular software to playback DVR footage is RegistratorViewer DATAKAM player.

This is only compatible with Windows unfortunately. Yes you can use Bootcamp to dual boot Windows and MAC OX X together, but some people are not into that solution. @garykaifong @onemanshow @ciuvak to name just a few.

As I said on an older post

"Most everyone is using the windows app registratorviewer because it's free and powerful. I asked Vadim (the developer) if he plans on making a Mac version. He said it would be be too much work. He wrote everything from the ground up using windows API's and he doesn't want to start from scratch again after getting as far as he did the last few years. He doesn't charge for his app even so you can't really complain."

Well it looks like @traveler is up for the Mac challenge to code something for OX X from scratch, check this out! (Bravo)
