New CPL Filter ThinkWare F770 by Moovika

Yup, take it off, spin the glass 1mm at a time and see what gives you least reflections. Let me know if that works.

The filter is already factory adjusted so that it is not necessary to move it.
Anyway you can move the filter but you may have a bad result with fingerprints

Sorry I don't agree. A filter like this will need adjustment. Moovika or any other manufacturer cannot predict how a camera will be mounted, the shape or curve of the windscreen, the position of the reflective objects etc.

Lens is adjusted to the horizontal reflection relative at the road and must therefore have a polarized filter horizontally and not otherwise.
If you set the filter 5 ° or more to the left or right so you can remove reflective object on a right or left but this will cancel reflective center which is the most common situations.
Do not do this

Each to their own I guess. If and when I buy this, I will adjust it as much as I want so that I find the happy position where the whole windscreen is reflection-less. Edr, I'm in no way suggesting that the central position be ignored, I want to squeeze every possible benefit of a CPL relative to what my cars interior, reflections and windscreen elevation is.

I'm sorry but neither you or the manufacturers can determine exactly what sort of situation, angle or elevation the camera lens or windscreen will be.

If you guys can make one CPL for every scenario, you will have to sell an unlimited amount of options.

Here is a scenario for you.

Can make: audi a4 2006 RHD

Size of windscreen 138 inch wide by 52 inches tall

Camera mounted at 60inchs from the front of left and 4.3 inches from the top behind then rear view mirror.

Lens location 61 inches from the left and 4.8 inches from the top.

Camera has been stuck as straight and horizontal as possible but it may not be perfect.

Dashboard grill reflections most prominent on the left side of the windscreen.

Windscreen has a 42° angle.

I don't think your factory can predict any of this so how do you think that perfect horizontal lines on a CPL will fix reflections properly without minor adjustment?

I understand what you mean but this is very negligible compared to the axis of the road
If you really want to change the rotation of the filter you can but I find it useless.
That's just my opinion

See our video Audi Q5 here with a offset to the right of the camera and a standard horizontal polarization

You have changed your words from "no don't do it" to "I find it useless". Perhaps you should do some experimentation. You might find that minor adjustments really do help. Just saying 🙂

The video above shows a very small change in reflection, almost to the point that makes it not worth it. Why would someone pay close to £40 for a filter for so little gain?

I have used CPLs for a long time. I am a landscape photographer.i am merely sharing my experience of 12 years as a photographer with this community. It's the minor almost minuscule adjustments to CPLs that make all the difference.

The recordings on my F750 (F770) suffered badly from dashboard reflections due to the steep angle of my windscreen and the positioning of the camera which means that the lens is about 2.5 inches (65 mm) from the windscreen but this filter has eliminated the dashboard reflections and now the camera produces good clear sharp video and in my case it was well worth buying.

I did try tilting the camera slightly left and right of level while recording as the filter appeared to be fixed in it's frame but found that it was best by far at it's delivered orientation.

I just received my F750 CPL Filter from @edr-auto.fr today.
I too am amazed at how improved the videos are. I had serious reflections that affected things like reading license plates, and now have no problem reading them.

I have the same problem with the Rear Cam, and have ordered a CPL Filter for that one as well.

Quality product, that works as advertised.

As an aside, I have a new Movica F770 cpl that I very recently purchased from EDR

That camera was faulty, as was the replacement, so the F770 has been replaced by an F75o - which is fine.

So, I now have an F770 filter for sale...

My video on YouTube doesn't do the results of using the CPL filter any justice but here it is anyway

it will just slide over the lens hat, it won't fall off, the filter will be pre adjusted to the correct orientation

Yes it will fall off! Had mine for only a few weeks and just found it missing from camera and can't find it anywhere in the car.. not happy with Spending $60 Australian to have it missing because of a poor design, maybe it's our hot weather here? Emailed them and no reply! Waste of money!!!!!

Was it a firm fit when you put it on?

Not sure I only put it on once, maybe it wasn't but for the money I paid I would think the fit would have been right?
