New Firmware today - 2017.2.22, version number is V1.2

This is probably an issue with your camera or your camera settings and not an issue with 1.2. I am on 1.2 and am not experiencing the issues you describe while filming in 1080/60.
This sounds bad to me, I've used the camera for 2 months always on 60p on the previous firmware. The quality improved with 1.2, is a lot more sharper but noiser with much green tint on low light and with flickering.
I don't think is the case to reflash it again...settings are default and on 50Hz.:(

No sorry that's not true and I've just registered to report that 1080 60p is now broken under low light and I hope it will be solved as soon as possible. Solution: use 30p.

It's immediately visible when going from standby screen and start the recording manually: the light colours and the noise get very bad.
U got a lemon thousands were sold with only a handful of complaints on this forum, maybe defective batch of parts. Most people are very satisfied

Well, it seems yes at this point.

What is flickering? The screen?
The flickers happen on the lights and is a colour flickering, it depends from the their intensity, it seems the exposure can't work well or the white balance.
No problem with 30p though or any 720 mode.
This started with the new firmware. Tomorrow I will try to flash it again.

I took some snapshots. The green tint is from the 60p format. I wonder why there was no problem with the previous firmware.

Here is the difference in very low light between 30p and 60p, 30p is much better.

We got a warm spring weather here in DC area, so I put the S119a V1.2 on my handlebar on the bicycle and took a rider through the National Mall. The video would have been more stabilized, if it was mounted in the car, but I don't think I will get so long trip. It was a compromise.
Here we go.
Nice job @Viking

Very strange never saw that green tint before. May I ask how come you don't return it or get an exchange
Hello Sutton,
Can you confirm that you don't have differences?
I've checked old videos made on the old firmware and compared with 1.2 FW, both at 60fps. One has wet road though.
By observation it looks like the shutter speed has been decreased for sharper motion and the ISO has been increased and my sensor has a problem only now with this.

In my cameras, there is no such difference between 60 and 30 fps. Firmware V1.2.

I tried 30 & 60 but nothing noticeable . I'm not very techie and just observe without any experience in this field but my A119S looks quite exceptable to me 30 or 60 Unfortunatly your A119s is most Likly defective. But why waste your time get an exchange

Hi all first time poster here. Got my A119S January 3rd 2017. just wanted to put my $0.02. while i haven't driven yet as i updated it a few minutes ago, i did do a before and after of recording a few seconds of video in my living room. what is immediately shown is that the room is brighter on 1.2. fwiw, all settings are exactly the same (1080p/60, WDR On, Exposure 0.0) on both videos. i'm attaching some screenshots. i used my wall as a reference but the overall picture shows the higher level contrast/brightness. Firmware version is attached to picture filename.

Don't see much difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS in low-light. Certainly nothing as drastic as @Bugrist posted.

Headlights OFF, DRL's ON (can't turn them OFF).

30 FPS

Couple of videos showing the difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS.

Wouldn't normally compare separate runs in a side-by-side comparison video but being night-time and lighting conditions remaining mostly unchanged, gave it shot.

The difference again isn't significant. Illumination from the headlights looks a tad brighter with 30 FPS.

Streetlights and ambient lighting.

Fantastic! 60fps looks even better over 30! 30 has a bit more contrast but has more blur and noise.

Thank you! Yes I've asked today to Foxoffer for a replacement. Will wait monday for reply.

Was the camera fine with previous firmware? Thought you said this has only occurred with the v1.2 update. If that's the case, why not downgrade to see if the issue goes away. If it does, then it may not be a fault with the camera.
