I used the A118c ( Capacitor ) cam before to see at what voltage the cam fails to work .
This time I used my Abee M7 ( has a battery ) cam to see if I could induce a voltage related failure ...
In the sort period I ran the cam ( minutes ) I could not induce failure ..
This is probably due to the battery ..
So what happened I reduced voltage to the cam 0.10v at a time ..
Each time I reduced voltage current went up ..
Around 4.2v current stabilized , didn't go higher .
@ 4v to 3.8v tested current dropped ( 3.8v ) remarkably .. And I can only conclude the voltage was to low to charge the battery . ( Li-ion = 4.2v fully charged ) ..
So not exactly sure what the 300mAh was doing ( supplemental power as the cam battery drains slowly )
@ 5v the cam normally runs 350 to 400mAh ( about 2watt ) depending on the state of the battery .
Oh well ! Something to do ..
