That could have been worse. Looks like a Much faster road during the day.

Yeah, that could have ended up real bad for those two.

I keep a collapsible traffic cone in the back of my car and a bright green safety vest. I don't want to get hit by a car. I'm going to grab another cone so I can place it further ahead for people to see. They can bought for $15/$25 depending on size.

In france reflective vests and a triangle are compulsory in case of emergency. The vest has to be in easy reach of the driver before he exits the car.Keeping it in the boot can (and often does) result in a fine . As a result I now keep 3 one in the glove box one in the rear passenger area and one in the boot (talk about overkill) It is also compulsory to carry alcohol test kits as well.If you are doing a day trip or are on vacation make sure you have all of these items as well as beam convertors on the headlights even if you arrive and leave in daylight hours, if not an over zealous policeman or gendarme will quite happily escort you to the nearest cash machine  :(

Oh I forget to add have all your car documentation IE log book/insurance policy etc to hand, you dont get 5 days grace herein france. Ipol

Handy Tips, I knew about the Breath testers, in the UK they now sell France breath testing kits for your trip abroad.

This part is same in Serbia.

This video shows that this place they stopped is very hard to secure, and I think they were very afraid for themselves. I know I would be.

If the vehicle that approached at a few seconds into the video had been on the ball he could have signalled an advanced warning with his headlights and hazard lights of a possible dangerous situation up ahead. Its about reading the road/communication/and anticipation........just an observation.....Ipol :)

Here its the triangle and i am not sure about the reflective West, but my country tend to overimplement things way ahead of the rest of EU or the World for that matter.
What is a motorcycle here and demand that you are 18 and have a licence, is a moped in the EU countries around us and can be driven from you are 16.
To drive a moped here ( 50 ccm - 30 km/h ) you have to be 16 and still have a licence for that.
But funne enuff you can start on a airplane licence here when you are 15, and be flying a airplane when you are 16
if i remember right you can fly a hangglider alone here when you are 15 years old.
My country is fooked up in so many ways its hard to deal with for me. ;)

Ppl here dont use the triangle as it suposed to be used, normally it is placed 5 - 20 M behind the car, witch any dumbass can figure out is no way long enuff from the car.

I do like that collapsable traffic cone flank, but Things like that are not allowed here im affraid :(

I was supriced to see that stuff with the alcohol test kit in France, please dont tell about that to Danish politicians.
Perhaps its just me who think its stupid becuz i dont do any form of alcohol or drugs any more, its quite easy if you have been drinking any ammount of alcohol dont drive, to me DYI testing kits just allow ppl to drive beeing just under the limit.

Here in USA, we are not required to have vest, flares or any sort of triangles. Its pretty scary. People here probably think I'm crazy to have these devices in my car.

Only commercial trucks are required to have triangles. I had no idea they were required in other countries. This is a good law. You will never see a broken passenger car on the side of the highway with triangles on the ground in California.

A few years back I bought a secondhand mitsubishi lancer which was imported directly from japan, and was an ex-police car......It was equipped with a coloured smoke flare which I think is standard in all japanese cars. If there is a japanese forum member out there please correct me if I am wrong.........Ipol :)
