Panorama II S won't loop record

12 v car lighter power
motion and G OFF
no GPS
Sony 2gb SD card (standard, not micro)
5 min overlap selected

Seems to work as expected: power on, records all until power off. But if SD card fills up it just stops recording (won't "loop" back to overwrite oldest recording).

Perhaps just a settings issue? Maybe I'm missing something in the menus? Any ideas with greatly appreciated.

Simply want it to continuously record when powered on, overwriting oldest recordings as needed.

p.s. Year keeps changing to 2015? Day and date are correct.

2gb card is too small (needs room for file management) and possibly too slow as well

Same thoughts 2GB way too small and slow.

The spec mentions 4gb is the minimum card size for good reason

There isn't such a thing as 5 min overlap.
You can have 5 min cycle, but only 0, 1, 2 sec overlap.
