Picked up an A119S from amazon warehouse but now not sure

I would probably not leave it on apart from when driving during the trip.

Another issue now though. The record button started flashing red whilst it was recording. I tried to wake it up and it took a few seconds but seemed to be recording still. Is it not meant to stay solid red when recording?

Ah hang on it’s saying card full now. I wonder if it’s because I formatted the SD card as FAT 32. The card is 128GB and this is the only way I could get it to work with the cheap dash cam I had before.

FAT32 is correct, although it is recommended to format it in the camera.
Maybe you have turned loop recording off?

No it's more stupid than that lol. I thought I had formatted it in the cam but it still had footage from the previous cam on the SD card and this cam puts it's files in a different directory so the card filled up and was maxed out. I'll format it in the cam now.
