yes here Labs are often the breed used for sniffer dogs.

When i was young we drove around for days at the end of growing season looking for fields we could raid after dark, as you might guess that's not as dangerous over here as say some illegal field in a national or state park manned by a couple of angry Mexicans.
Some times driving home the driver could barely look out the windscreen for harvested plants

Not quite how cross pollination and the genetics of how this all works I'm afraid. They didn't originally call it "weed" for nothing. In essence, that's the difference between hemp and marijuana.
