I currently have a Thinkware F200 Pro system in my van. I, mostly, like it, and the price is excellent. I just picked up a '22 GMC 3500HD Denali that I use to tow my fifth wheel. I'm looking for recomendations for a dash cam for the truck, with the ability to have a cam at the rear of the trailer, or to move a rear cam from the truck to the trailer (hardwired). The truck does have several cams on board, but there's no way to have the cams active all the time or to record them, like a Tesla. VERY stupid, if you ask me. Anyway... If something comes to mind, please pass on.
On the Thinkware, my #1 biggest complaint is that there is NO WAY to keep the camera active without the engine running. So, if you're in an accident and the engine is disabled, you need to have a micro-SD adapter with you and either carry a laptop with you at all times to be able to show a video, or a sympathetic cop that will allow you to show a clip on their computer. So, please consider this in your recommendation.
