do you use a Windows PC?
No, I'm using Linux, both at work and at home.
Oh that is weird, thanks for the tip, I'll try a different card AND use a Windows pc to copy the file. Hopefully it will work.
Yes it is. Even when you mount the card with x permissions it won't run the firmware update.Oh that is weird
Dunno this is something that can be imporoved: when I start a trip it takes a couple of minutes before the gps coordinates are present. When I go to work I'll pass two tunnels (one of 1 km and one of 2 km), when I leave it the gps fix is in seconds.

It can take a few seconds to a minute acquire the satellites, longer if the GPS has not been used for a while, or moved while off.Dunno this is something that can be imporoved: when I start a trip it takes a couple of minutes before the gps coordinates are present. Thanks guys for the explanation (I thought it could be improved as my telephone gets it real fast; although I turn it completely off it might use the gsm antennas to get an estimation of the sattelites).
The GPS receiver is flipped and is glued next to the dashcam (on the window in a, say, 30 degrees angle).
I start in a tunnel (my garage)
ok, for some reason Linux has a problem when copying the bin files and they won't run, maybe ask someone with a Windows machine to copy the file onto the card for you
@Feitelijk is a linux user and went through this issue previously

A good fraction of the frame is the hood of your car. That could be throwing off the metering
